Kia ora nau mai, welcome. We are based in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga in the beautiful Bay of Plenty. We work within the Bay and beyond. iPLAN is an environmental planning consultancy specialising in subdivision and land development and all consenting and policy processes under the Resource Management Act (RMA). We have significant experience and expertise in a variety of subdivision and land use resource consents and the development and implementation of planning policy.

James Danby
Director | Planner
James Danby (Director | Planner) has worked as a planner in both New Zealand and the UK and has over 20 years experience dealing with a wide range of planning issues. He is a member of the NZPI and a member of the RTPI (UK). He has extensive hands-on experience in the development of planning policy and delivering complex subdivision and land use consent work.
Through this work James has developed a thorough understanding of legislative requirements, local and regional regulatory documents and government processes. James is experienced in presenting at council hearings, managing and resolving appeals and being an expert witness in the Environment Court. His ability to simplify complex issues and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders results in successful outcomes.
